The Kawuneeche Group of the Upper Colorado River Watershed Group

The Kawuneeche Group is an informal group of professionals working to improve watershed conditions of the North Fork of the Colorado River (NFCR), including the Kawuneeche Valley.

Overall Vision for NFCR:

  • A magnificent flyway welcoming migratory waterfowl, songbirds, and birds of prey to our headwaters
  • Gold-medal-quality fishery from the NFCR delta up to Lulu City
  • Self-sustaining beaver engineering throughout
